Sunatoria Black Mask

So much has been happening and I have been neglecting my blog. I can hardly find time in the day to shower so actually sitting down to write anything longer than a text is hard. I LOVE being a mom and worked so hard to become one that I truly let everything else go. Even some house work. I know people find that shocking but I only clean after she goes to bed or naps.

The reason I am here is to share this great face mask with you. I feel like I have huge pores and I do everything I can to minimize them and keep them clean. This Black Mask is charcoal based and peels off. It comes with an applicator (score!) I tried it this week and it peeled off easy and I could see it cleaning out my pores. My skin looked even and so clear and still days 3 days later. You should use the mask 2-3 times a week and after cleansing your face with warm water to open the pores for best results.

You can get it on Amazon for a steel so check it out and let me know if you love it like I do!

Seriously guys try this mask!

House Happenings

We have done some major changes recently. We repainted the dining room, office, upstairs hallway, and entry way. We also had the baseboards in the entire downstairs replaced!

We changed out the colors because the tan just made everything too dark. The color didn’t work well with the lighting and flow of the house. We did grey and white and it truly changed everything about the light in the house.

The baseboards were such a mess when we moved in. The previous own thought he could DIY and he could not. šŸ™‚ The baseboards didn’t touch the ground so that gap was very annoying to me and held dirt and dog hair. They also were only primed not painted and the nail holes were not filled either, several areas were different shades of white primer as well. Many were chewed up by their dogs also, such a mess to say the least. I feel so much better now.

I did the painting of the dining room, hallway, and office. We had Sticks and Stones Remodeling do the entryway painting and replacing all the baseboards. They did a wonderful job. Very professional and excellent work. They were also very fast. We highly recommend to anyone in the local area!

Products I am Loving

I am going to share some of the fabulous products I have been using lately that I am loving.

Vitamin C

This stuff is great because it is a powder and you can just add a little bit to your moisturizer or products you are already using. This small container lasts a really long time because you don’t need much just a little shake.

IMG_6748

Collagen Cream

I love this brand and have talked about other products they have. This is another great one. The smell, texture, and packaging is great. I noticed a difference in my skin after just 2 days of using this. I use it once a day but you can put it on morning and night. (I do morning) This packaging is one of my all time favorites because you can ensure you use all of the product with the clear bottles and tubes. (All of theirs are like this!)

Clay Mask

The Generation Clay mask is one that I love. The clay trend is something we see everywhere now and I have used several but this one is perfect for my skin. The texture is easy to spread and not to thick or heavy. It dries quickly and rinses off easily, leaving my skin smooth and rejuvenated.

Baby Products

Here is a list of the baby products we use and love!

Pampers

  • Pure
  • Pure Wipes
  • Swaddlers

pampers

I have tried several brands and different types within the brands. I found some to be very hard and seemed no fun to be on such soft skin. Some just didn’t fit my baby. These are the ones that work great for us and I highly recommend giving them a try. We have minimal leaks and the pure wipes leave her skin soft and dry.

NanoBebeĀ

  • Breast milk bottles
  • Flexy Pacifiers
  • Breast milk storage bags
  • Nursing pads
  • Bottle Cooler

IMG_8113

This brand is amazing! Every product we have tried has been wonderful. I chose these bottles because they are specific for breast milk and allow the fat and water to stay mixed for better nutrition. The Flexi Pacifiers are soft and breathable they are the only ones my child will even entertain taking. The pads are so soft and absorbent I never notice feel wet or even feel them while wearing. They have additional products that we are waiting to get as well. #nanobebeambassador

ExerSaucer

IMG_8130

This play bouncer is first off so cute with the animal theme, it is also gender neutral so great if you plan to have additional kids. It can grow for different heights and weight. Our daughter loves looking at the different animal faces and the seat is soft and easy to remove for cleaning. It is also easy to move from room to room.

Bumbo Seat

IMG_8137

I was skeptical about these but our girl loves her hand me down seat from her cousin. It has a tray which we will start using now that she is starting to grab and eat solids. The seat is soft and easy to clean and allows her to sit up and work on her ab muscles, while engaging in play and with the rest of the family.

Maxi Cosi – Infant Car Seat

IMG_8150

I chose to get an infant only car seat to start because it offered many features I wanted but couldn’t get in the grow with me options. I love the awning that can go up and down, the easy to move straps for growth, and the amount of padding throughout. It is easy to carry and use as well as snap into our stroller. The ability to cover her was a big deal to me and the safety ratings are fabulous! I don’t like people seeing or coming to close at such a young age.

Diono – Stroller

IMG_8174

This stroller is amazing. We chose black, gender neutral. It is easy to fold and travel with, light weight to carry, and looks great on a walk. There is plenty of room underneath for storage and you can get additional attachments for cup holders and such. I love that I can use the car seat or the bassinet. The bassinet converts into additional stages to grow with baby and toddler. Highly recommend.

Stretch Mark Prevention

During my pregnancy one thing I did every day was use a stretch mark prevention lotion. I just stumbled upon it one day at Walgreens. I like the ingredients and price so I grabbed it.

I started using it when I started to show which was around 8 ish weeks. I would use it after every shower and every morning adding it to my routine of washing my face. I didn’t only use it on my stomach I used it full body. Stretchmarks can appear anywhere and during pregnancy your entire body changes.

I am happy to report that after gaining quit a bit of weight and my stomach expanding to a size I didn’t know was possible (lol) I do not have any stretch marks. I am still using it today to help with the tightening of my skin during my postpartum care as well.

I absolutely recommend this product!

Pore Vacuum

I love trying new facial products and working on my skin health. I saw so many different people trying these, what I call, pore vacuums. I had to try but I didn’t want to spend a fortune.

IMG_6749

I got the Derma Suction! It comes with 4 different attachments and two suctions speeds. The attachments allow you to get into all the groves of your face. Having two speeds or levels of suction gives you control over sensitive areas of your face.

I use this once a week, usually on Sundays. I cleanse my face and then use the Derma Suction. Keep the tool moving, do not let it sit in one spot on your face. I move in the same direction all over my face then go over it again the opposite direction. Once you are finished MOISTURIZE. I can’t say that enough! You just sucked not only the dirt and grime but the moisture out of your skin so you need to put it back. I usually use a moisture mask or a thick moisturizer cream.

You also want to clean out your took after each use, believe me you will be amazed and grossed out! There is also a small filter that will need to be changed periodically.

I have noticed a huge difference in my face and pores. My make up goes on smoother and my skin feels better. I don’t feel like I have little bumps everywhere or that my pores are full of gunk.

You can get yours at Bed Bath & Beyond (where I got mine it was $19.99), CVS, Walgreens and Wal Mart. These are just the places I have seen them. It’s not an expensive took and you will get great results!

The Crape Myrtle Trails of McKinney

The other weekend I stumbled upon the prettiest little park in McKinney, TX. The park is 7.2 acres and located at 6452 Collin McKinney Pkwy. There is a small parking lot and a gorgeous entry sign to the paved trails that take you through many different varieties of Crape Myrtles.

It isn’t exactly peek season for the blooms but even with that it was beautiful. There are great signs that explain what you are looking at and more about the plants/trees. There are picnic tables and benches for families and people to take a seat and enjoy the view.

IMG_6325IMG_6326IMG_6327

To me this is a hidden gem of McKinney that everyone needs to see, not to mention the photo opportunities that are available here! Enjoy some time just enjoying nature and learning more about these wonderful trees.

There is also a Crape Myrtle Trails Foundations that has partnered with the City of McKinney to plant thousands of Crape Myrtles in the median and more. I get to enjoy these year round because I live just off Eldorado Parkway and that is where a majority are planted.

Barre 3

July 1 I started a 28 day #barre3anywhere challenge put on by Barre3. This is a nation wide Barre studio that offers online classes as well so you can do them anywhere even if a location isn’t convenient for you. ThisĀ  28 day challenge involved 6 videos a week and one rest day. The videos ranged in length from 10 minutes to 30 minutes but don’t let that 10 minute number fool you, some of those were the hardest and left me really feeling the shake.

You can really do them anywhere. I did most of the videos on my lunch break in our living room. It was a great break from the computer and re-energized me for the rest of the day.

There are so many variations that no matter what your level or injury status is so you can do these workouts. I did have to do variations since I am pregnant and as the bump grew through the month some of the positions did get a little tricky. It was great to really work on my lower back and leg strength. You can add weights for added strength training for your arms as well.

Check out their website to see if there is a location near you and if not you can sign up for a free online trial and you can do these workouts anywhere. There is no excuse to not give it a try and see the transformation you can make in a short period of time.

Morning Sickness

I have always heard about women talking about morning sickness and one day I dreamed it would happen to me. Well it did, and boy was/is it not at all what I expected. It happens so suddenly, anytime and for me was really intense and almost violent.

I was so happy about my morning sickness! After wanting this for so long I would lay on the bathroom floor just smiling and laughing. I know that seems odd but it made me feel like it was real, like this baby was really going to happen.

I tried several different things to help me through upon the advise of other mommy’s I know. These are what worked for me. Everyone is different and different things help. For me personally I was told so many times to eat saltine’s or something similar I wanted to scream, that just didn’t help me. I know it really helps a lot of women though!

Here is what I liked!

Preggie Pop Drops. These I got at Target and loved that they were drug free and natural. So easy, just like a cough drop or hard candy. I would keep a handful on my night stand and pop them in throughout the night too.

IMG_6187

Sparkling Mama Fizzelixir. This was a yummy drink that allowed me to have the carbonation but without all the sugar. The ginger and citrus combo calmed my stomach and allowed me to get a little relief through the work day.

IMG_6188

Morning Ease Lemon Ginger. These are very similar to the Preggie Pop Drops but available at several retailers. Another lemon ginger combo that worked out great for me. Kept these in my purse and could just grab one anytime I was out and about and I just didn’t feel right.

IMG_6189

Sea Bands. I was most skeptical about trying these. I wore them for a while and didn’t really know if they were helping so I took them off and suddenly got a rush of morning sickness. I was like omg they work and put them back on as fast as I could. These are easy to use and a great suggestion if you don’t want to drink or eat something.

IMG_6190

These are the 4 products that I really liked and that worked for me. Again everyone is different but I recommend giving these a try. I am still using them all throughout my pregnancy on rough days.

FabFitFun – Summer 2019

Summer is here and so is my new FabFitFun Box! It’s so fun to open the box never knowing what fun new products are inside. I am going to share my favorite products form the box.

IMG_5887

Generation Clay Brightening Purple Clay Mask. This mask is filled with Davidson plum, a gentle, natural version of skin-exfoliating alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA). Making it a great option to rejuvenate your skin and dull those dark circles under your eyes. Additional benefits include witch hazel to extract excess oil, vitamin E, an antioxidant that protects against free radicals, and desert lime, an Australian citrus fruit that boosts hydration, assists with the absorption of antioxidants and increases collagen production. I could see a difference after one use and absolutely recommend giving it a try.

IMG_6166

I have talked about the Coola brand before. This is a great product to use after putting on your make up for the day. It sets the makeup and has SPF in the spray. It is refreshing and really helped my make up stay on all day.

IMG_6164

You guys, these SOL Janeiro products are amazing! The smell alone is unmatched, even my husband has commented. The shower gel lathers great and leaves no residue on your skin. The Bum Cream is great for tightening skin, smoothing bumps and moisturizing after a great shower scrub. Being pregnant I love to also slather this body cream on my growing bump to help with stretch marks. On their website you get 10% off your first order so don’t hesitate!

IMG_6165

The Grace & Stella All Day Rose spray is so refreshing and hydrating. In this Texas heat a spray to start off the day is perfect. I use it on my face, neck and chest to refresh and hydrate my skin in the morning or after washing my face. It’s gentle the subtle rose scent is calming.

IMG_6167

Invisi Bobble hair rings are so versatile and comfortable. They allow me, someone with long hair, to pull my hair up without leaving a “dent” or line in my hair that has to be re styled. They also do not pull at all so the comfort is great to last all day or through that tough workout.

IMG_6168

I could go on about all of the products but these are the stand outs to me. I love being introduced to new products and see how they work. Try these and let me know what you think.
