I was so excited to go to HC Nutrition and learn what it was all about. I started seeing their Grand Re-Opening event on Facebook and that really peaked my interest. I was able to meet with the Jennifer, owner, and she had so much information to share. I was so excited to hear she is a RN and really able to speak to the different medical aspects of the benefits she has to offer. I had no idea how much was available at HC Nutrition.
Cryotherapy is something I had been wanting to try since I saw in on the Real Housewives, yes you read that right, I am obsessed with reality TV. I have looked into it further and there are just so many benefits. I loved it and can’t wait to do it again. I could feel the benefits in my muscles the rest of the day and into the next. When I told people I did it their first statement was always I don’t like the cold, well this isn’t your normal cold feeling. It is really un-explainable and the time flies. The employees are there to talk to you and the 3 minutes seemed like nothing.

My sister recommended the Protein Blend Birds Eye Steamfresh and boy was she right. It is quick and delicious. PLUS packed with protein, vitamins and minerals.
It’s in the freezer section of your local grocery store. Only 4 1/2 minutes in the microwave and you have a perfect side dish or meal on it’s own. I grilled some chicken to add to mine for a perfect quick week night meal.
Not all processed foods are bad, you just need to read the label and make sure what is in the package is real food. Not just chemicals. Try this out and let me know what you think, it’s going to be in my freezer all the time.
I hadn’t heard of Ningxia Red until I began using Essential Oils a few weeks ago. (I will talk about the oils in a future post) I was very interested in learning more about his berry that makes the drink.
It is made of wolf-berry, pomegranate, blueberry and other super foods. **Fun fact there are more than 80 species of wolf-berry and each holds a different amount of antioxidants and nutritional value**

So what makes this little shot of juice even better than just this singular berry….

With all of this good stuff, the main question is how does it taste? I was hesitant the first time I drank it because I was worried about the taste, but it was delicious! I had no problem drinking it down in no time. These little packets are great because it is pre-packaged in the 2oz per day that you should drink. However you can buy a large bottle as well. Some people drink it just on it’s own or mix it into their bottle of water for an infused water flavor.
Try it and let me now what you think.
I want to share with you a fun fact about straws, did you know it takes 7 year for 1 straw to decompose, yes 7 years. Now just think for a second how many straws you, as one person, use on a weekly basis. Now multiply that by millions and millions!
As I have gotten older I have really grown more and more aware of recycling and eco friendly products. Every week I have a heaping pile of recycling and my trash keeps decreasing.
Now when I get a drink I love a straw, just something about it. These are a great addition to my kitchen supplies. They are stainless steel, dishwasher safe and come in multiple sizes. I got the larger ones so I can use them with my smoothies and they are perfect. No issues with clogged straws or holes in them. I use them for everything now. They also come with a cleaning brush to make sure you can get the entire thing clean. They come in packs of 5.
You can get yours on Amazon.com a the link below.
Visit their website https://www.ecoatheart.com/ for more straw sizes and information.
Think about your straw the next time you grab one and remember how small that is and what a difference one person can make. PS I keep one in my purse for restaurants and on the go drinks 🙂
Welcome to my home gym! I used to only workout at home. That is actually where I lost my most weight and really began to change my lifestyle. I have slowly added to my gym over the years.
I have a treadmill, which I got as a Christmas gift in high school! It was the only thing I wanted that year, little did my parent’s know I would still be using it 12 years later. Definitely got their monies worth. It has been through many moves with me and the screen display doesn’t work anymore but that doesn’t matter because I can use my phone for tracking.
I have a weight bench that you can lift to multiple positions for different exercises. I also have a set of free weights starting at 12lbs going up to 45lbs. I don’t use a lot of the higher weights but my husband does.
I recently got a weight machine for Christmas that I can do 6+ exercises on including legs. This is a great piece if you are looking for the most bang for your buck and have limited space.
I have miscellaneous items as well including ankle/wrist weights, weighted ball, barre ball, bands, mats and more.
All of my equipment is located in our loft that gives me a lot of space to spread out for floor work, yoga and more. I also have a TV to allow for some black noise in the background. It’s good for me because I can exercise while watching my favorite shows and before I know it I have knocked out an hour workout.
What do you have at home? You don’t need much to get started.
I was given a recommendation to try the Thunderbird Real Food Bar and it was a great one. I am very aware of what ingredients are in the foods I am eating because I don’t feel the need for all the chemicals when there are so many delicious real food options!
Another perfect thing about these, they are made right here in Austin, TX. I love local. I really liked that when I was in the store I could easily and quickly see what ingredients went into the bar, very few and all whole foods.
The first bar I had was the Texas Maple Pecan and it was delicious, I could eat those every day. I also tried the Almond Apricot Vanilla and this one was a little different for me. I loved the flavor but the chunks of Apricot were just too big for me. I would prefer it be smaller as I am not a huge Apricot fan. However all the taste was great. The texture is great, it’s soft but not chewy so nothing stuck in your teeth.
Its a perfect, healthy grab and go snack or breakfast. I definitely recommend you try them.
