FabFitFun

You guys know I love my FabFitFun boxes! They introduce me to some amazing products that I would not find other wise. The Spring 2018 box was no different!

The Rachel Pally clutch is the perfect pop of color for any outfit. I love to wear black, grey and white so my accessories are my opportunity to be fun. This clutch is reversible, soft, large enough to carry everything you need and beautiful. The protective storage bag is great to keep it in perfect condition for year and years of use.

The Free People eye mask is so relaxing. I have never used a sleep mask before but it was such a change I love using it now. It is thick and full of cushion, the inside is silky smooth and the added amount of pressure helps me fall asleep fast.

I enjoy burning candles in my house year round, the smells and style make my house more homey. This candle was beautiful to display in the gold container. I didn’t get much sent out of it but I have an open floor plan and I think if I paired it with a matching one it would have been perfect. It is made of all natural ingredients too so there aren’t chemicals just floating up in your home.

You know I love a good workout, everyday, so this roller is perfect for relieving the muscle pain. The handles make it easy to use anywhere on your body. I use it mostly on my legs because I work them hard and this really helps to reduce the pain and restore my muscles. If you work out regularly you need one!

I have never used a lip mask before so I was excited to try these out. They are collagen infused for moisture and plumping. I would pop these on after my evening shower, my husband thought they looked terrible, but they worked! My lips felt soft and smooth after wearing. I am not sure if they plumped them up but I used them more for the moisture benefit anyway.

The Dermelect Cosmeceuticals nail polish was one of my favorites from the box. I bite my nails, terrible habit, and they are weak and rigid. This polish filled them in and gave a subtle pink shine so they looked great too. I am wearing it right now on my fingers and toes. I highly recommend this for any nails that need some help.

This box also had the ISH pallet in it. I love the variety of colors, they went on smooth and the consistency is perfect for mixing to get some additional personalized colors. The small Love bracelet is the perfect addition to my jewelry collection. I love smaller pieces I can mix together with others and yellow gold is my favorite.

My summer box is on it’s way and I can’t wait to share it with you. If you have questions about where to get these products or need additional information about them comment or message. I will post links for each product soon!

Message for a coupon code for your first box!

Guest Blogger – Fitness Journey

I am so excited to introduce you to Baylee! She is one of the newest instructors at B Well, in Boerne. I have taken her spinning classes and they are great, you must come and try one. Read her journey to becoming an instructor below, you never know where life will lead.

I consider myself to be one of the least athletic people I know. While my high school classmates scored goals and made touchdowns (still working on my sports terminology), I spent my free time warming up my vocals in choir and memorizing play scripts. While I am beyond thankful for the experiences that the fine arts gave me, I couldn’t help but feel like my lack of athletic experience resulted in me not knowing the value of physical fitness or how to “do exercise”.

As a result of my years of apathy, I spent the next several years trying and failing to create healthy fitness habits. I’d show up to a gym and have no idea what to do — so I’d just leave! I tried running, but it felt too monotonous and time-consuming for my on-the-go personality. I even tried at-home fitness videos, all of which would last a good 6 minutes before I got bored and found something else to do. I came to a point where I gave up on trying and accepted that I was just not cut out for fitness.

Eventually, I got sick and tired of feeling sick and tired (what happens when you live an extremely inactive lifestyle) and decided I needed a change. I was new to Boerne and a friend recommended B Well Health & Fitness. My first reaction was absolutely not — I could never fit in at one of those elite fitness studios. My inability to keep up with everyone else would be embarrassing, and I definitely don’t look the part. I even thought about starting a new workout plan to get in shape before I joined B Well (I know, it makes zero sense at all). On top of that, I was just not “cut out” for fitness — it just wouldn’t work out.

After weeks of encouraging and nudging me, I finally caved and signed up for a one month membership (let’s be honest, I didn’t plan on even sticking around that long). Anxiously, I stepped into the studio for my first class and was immediately greeted by a welcoming staff member. “This isn’t so bad..” I remember thinking. I’m not going to sugar-coat it, the classes were CHALLENGING. However, the genuine encouragement by the instructors as well as the other clients gave me a boost of confidence to keep working at it.

It didn’t take long at all before I realized all of my preconceived notions about B Well were dead wrong. The instructors weren’t intimidating — they are were my biggest encouragers and supporters! The other members weren’t conceited or elite athletes. In fact, the one thing that has made me fall in love with B Well is the people. No two members are the same, but we all come together in a class with our own goals and victories, regardless of where we are in our fitness journey.

Before I knew it, I was everything I thought I couldn’t be. Someone who loved to work out! Don’t get me wrong — I still love to sleep in and get tempted to skip a class every now and then. BUT, I genuinely enjoy showing up, working hard, and celebrating small (and huge!) victories with my fellow B Well tribe. I loved it so much that one day a thought popped into my mind: “Why am I not teaching this?” I took my new passion and ran with it — I became a certified group fitness instructor! Now, I’m teaching classes that I love with people that I love — and all it took was STARTING somewhere.

If you would have told me a year ago that I’d spend more than one day a month exercising, I would have laughed in your face. If you would have told me a year ago that I’d be TEACHING fitness classes, I would probably have fallen to the ground in hysterical laughter. But guess what? I’m doing it! I’m thrilled to be sharing my story because I know there are so many of you out there who have similar experiences and (for whatever reason it may be) are too afraid to jump in. Here’s my advice: wherever you are in your fitness (or life!) journey, you are welcome here! There’s no better time to get started than this moment, right now. And I can promise you that once you get started, you’ll be unstoppable!

I would LOVE to see your beautiful face at one of our B Well classes. Give us a call or drop by and we can chat!

Meal Prep Tips

Getting into a meal prep routine can be hard. It takes time and planning so I wanted to share some tips to ease into it. I always make changes slowly so that I can set myself up for success. It can be difficult to jump into an entire full day of meal prepping. Here are some starting tips.

  1. After getting home from the grocery store before you put all your veggies/fruit and snacks away take them all out of the package and divide them into individual servings. Either in bags or containers whatever you have. This way your veggies and fruit are all clean, cut and ready to go and you can grab and go with your breakfast, lunch or snack.

snacks

veggies2. Start with prepping just one meal for the week. I would recommend breakfast so that you get your day going in a positive way. Decide what you want to have for the week and on Sunday make a batch big enough for the week and divide it into serving sizes for that week. Now in the morning you are ready to go, don’t forget your coffee!

3. As you are cooking dinner make extra and set it aside in serving size containers for lunches the upcoming days.

4. When you leave in the morning for your day take everything with you that you . want to eat/snack or drink for the day. This will save you money and time. I have my lunch box stocked with my breakfast, lunch and snacks. I also have a water bottle that I can refill through the day.

Start with theses 4 meal prep tips and after a while you will start to get in a grove.

Face Mask

I am always trying new skin products because I really haven’t found something I like to use all the time. I had a go to brand in high school but things have changed from then so I like to try news ones.

The Whish Renewing mud Mask was something I started using a few weeks ago and I can see a difference. It is so quick to use and the benefits are seen right away. Simply apply a think layer to your face, avoiding eyes, nose and mouth, leave on for 15 seconds the first time building up to 2 minutes. Then wipe off with a wash cloth in a circular motion for exfoliating. Done! (use 1-2 times a week) It gently exfoliates and eliminates dead skin revealing smoother more even skin.

I really like it because it is paraben free, sulfate free, phthalate free, DEA & TEA free and petrochemical free, naturally sourced and organic ingredients!

Give it a try and let me know what you think.

HC Nutrition

I was so excited to go to HC Nutrition and learn what it was all about. I started seeing their Grand Re-Opening event on Facebook and that really peaked my interest. I was able to meet with the Jennifer, owner, and she had so much information to share. I was so excited to hear she is a RN and really able to speak to the different medical aspects of the benefits she has to offer. I had no idea how much was available at HC Nutrition.

Cryotherapy is something I had been wanting to try since I saw in on the Real Housewives, yes you read that right, I am obsessed with reality TV. I have looked into it further and there are just so many benefits. I loved it and can’t wait to do it again. I could feel the benefits in my muscles the rest of the day and into the next. When I told people I did it their first statement was always I don’t like the cold, well this isn’t your normal cold feeling. It is really un-explainable and the time flies.
